Shapes and colors make me happy.
I like abstract paintings. I like Picasso. I like solid colors - blue, red, yellow, green and orange. Sometimes I like neon. I like geometric lines and shapes. I'm particularly fascinated with squares. Not so much with waves and unclosed curves. I don't like Baroque-inspired designs. I don't like paintings of the Madonna and Child, farmers in the field, flowers in vases, and fruits in baskets. They hurt my eyes.

"I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge
That myth is more potent than history.
I believe that dreams are more powerful than facts -
That laughter is the only cure for grief.
And I believe that love is stronger than death."
~Robert Fulghum, It Was On Fire When I Laid Down On It

You Belong to Me
See the pyramids around the Nile
Watch the sun rise
From the tropic isle
Just remember darling
All the while
You belong to me
See the market place
In old Algiers
Send me photographs and souvenirs
Just remember
When a dream appears
You belong to me
And I'll be so alone without you
Maybe you'll be lonesome too
Fly the ocean
In a silver plane
See the jungle
When it's wet with rain
Just remember till
You're home again
You belong to me
Oh I'll be so alone without you
Maybe you'll be lonesome too
Fly the ocean
In a silver plane
See the jungle
When it's wet with rain
Just remember till
You're home again
You belong to me

What's Up
Twenty - five years and my life is still
Trying to get up that great big hill of hope
For a destination
And I realized quickly when I knew I should
That the world was made up of this brotherhood of man
For whatever that means
And so I cry sometimes
When I'm lying in bed
Just to get it all out
What's in my head
And I am feeling a little peculiar
And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream at the top of my lungs
What's going on?
And I say, hey hey hey hey
I said hey, what's going on?
Ooh, ooh ooh
And I try, oh my god do I try
I try all the time, in this institution
And I pray, oh my god do I pray
I pray every single day
For a revolution
And so I cry sometimes
When I'm lying in bed
Just to get it all out
What's in my head
And I am feeling a little peculiar
And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream at the top of my lungs
What's going on?
And I say, hey hey hey hey
I said hey, what's going on?
Twenty - five years and my life is still
Trying to get up that great big hill of hope
For a destination
Some of my favorite lines in my favorite TV series, Desperate Housewives and Sex and The City. Interesting. I'm not even sure if I'm a Desperate Housewife type or a Sex and The City type. My guess is I'm a Desperate Housewife type. I'm always lonely, I ponder a lot over lost hopes and aspirations, and occasionally, I scheme.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES
Mary Alice:
Yes, each new day … brings with it a new set of lies. The worst are the ones we tell ourselves right before we fall asleep. We whisper them in the dark, telling ourselves we're happy, or that he's happy. That we can change, or that he will change his mind. We persuade ourselves that we can live with our sins, or that we can live without him. Yes, each night before we fall asleep we lie to ourselves in a desperate, desperate hope that come morning - it will all be true.
Human beings are designed for many things. Loneliness isn't one of them.
Trust is a fragile thing. Once earned, it affords us tremendous freedom. But once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Of course the truth is, we never know who we can trust. Those we're closest to can betray us, and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves. It really is the simplest way to keep from getting burned.
It's not enough to want to the truth. You must know where to look for it. And the truth is elusive, because it knows where to hide.
It's a rare man that understands the value of a perfect rose.
Yes, sooner or later we must all grow up. No-one knows this better than the young.
Lynette
And I love you because you find ways to compliment me when you could just say, "I told you so.”
Gabrielle:
The way I see it is that good friends support each other after something bad has happened, great friends act as if nothing has happened.
Bree:
This is the way I see it, good friends offer to help in a crisis, great friends don't take no for an answer.
Oh, sweetie, they didn't abandon you because you're a whore, they abandoned you because you weren't all that nice to begin with.
Carlos:
Deals are meant to be renegotiated.

SEX AND THE CITY
Carrie:
Samantha has a particular knack for turning a desperate situation into a hopeless one.
Let's be honest. Sometimes there is nothing harder in life than being happy for somebody else. Like lottery winners. Or extremely successful people who are 27. And then there's that hell on earth that only your closest friends can inflict on you -- the baby shower.
Our affair, like our hotels, had gone from elegant with crystal to seedy with plastic cups.
Samantha:
Normal is the halfway point between what you want and what you can get.
